Topjib

About Topjib

A clearer view of boating in Austin.

A local boat search system, built out of a love for Lake Travis and the people who spend time on it.

The idea

Inspired by the way Zillow makes homes easier to explore, Topjib.com brings that sense of discovery to Austin’s boats and lakes. The idea is to connect the boats, marinas, and waterways around us in one useful place: a local boat database, a for-sale listing service, and a way to discover rentals.

A boat has a story beyond its latest listing. Topjib is being built to make that story easier to follow—where a boat is recorded, when it comes up for sale, how its asking price changes, and how it fits into the local boating community.

A passion project, built in Austin

Topjib is a passion project of David Levine Bramante, an Austin software developer building at his venture studio, CodexDeus.com. It starts with a straightforward goal: make boating on Lake Travis clearer and easier for everyone.

That means helping a seller understand the boats competing for a buyer’s attention, helping a buyer explore the choices around the lake, and helping a renter find a good starting point for a day on the water.

More clarity around pricing

Over time, the goal is to bring more consistency and clarity to local boat pricing for sellers, buyers, and renters. Recorded asking prices, price changes, and useful comparisons can help people understand the market and make better-informed decisions. Building that picture takes time and good data; it is part of what makes this project interesting.

For a day on Lake Travis

David’s current favorite marina to rent from is Riviera Marina. That simple enjoyment of getting out on the lake is at the heart of Topjib: making it easier for more people to find their way onto the water.
