Publishing and accountability
How Topjib publishes information
A useful boat page should make its source, dates and limits clear. This policy explains who is responsible for Topjib and what the information can establish.
Policy published . Source-check dates and listing observation dates are recorded separately.
Who publishes Topjib?
Topjib is operated by TOPJIB LLC. Founder David Levine Bramante is an Austin software developer building at CodexDeus. Read about the project and founder. The publisher is responsible for the site's editorial decisions and correction process; the operator contact is david@codexdeus.com.
Our guides and reports are attributed to Topjib as the publishing organization. They do not claim that the founder is a marine surveyor, appraiser or licensed dealer. A named professional review, firsthand visit or inspection is identified only when it actually occurred and its scope can be documented.
What sources do we use?
Boat pages retain source advertisements and dated price/status observations. Official TPWD vessel data is a separate public-record source; an owner association does not establish present ownership, location or authority to sell. Reviewed owner or manager submissions follow their own permission and publication workflow.
Lake and boating-process guidance links to the responsible agency. Marina, rental and selling-program profiles use business-published information with source-check dates. We separate seller statements, official records, business statements and Topjib's calculations. A public source is not independent confirmation of every claim and does not establish a commercial partnership.
See the matching, location, price and status methodology. Source and identity conflicts remain unresolved until supporting evidence is available.
How are automation and AI used?
Software imports observations, normalizes source-backed make/model names, redacts public contact details and calculates sample statistics. AI-assisted extraction and editing may help organize source text and draft descriptions or guides. Source-based checks and review do not add facts that the retained evidence does not support.
Automated OCR can propose an identifier from a photo. An incomplete or conflicting read is held for review. Actual boat photographs, manufacturer references and generic type illustrations have separate provenance; an enlarged image does not create original detail or verification of condition.
Automation does not establish firsthand experience or professional qualifications. Topjib does not represent every imported advertisement as individually inspected or every page as independently reviewed by a marine professional.
What do the dates and numbers mean?
A listing's first-observed date is when Topjib received that source observation. It may differ from the seller's posting date. The inventory date is separate from a seller's availability confirmation, an editorial revision and a source check. We do not make old evidence current by changing a page's date.
The current market report changes with retained inventory. Dated reports and newsletter editions retain their stated cutoff and source tables. Calculations disclose sample size and geographic scope. Asking prices, seller-reported Sold marks and Off Market observations are not verified transactions, closing prices or a census of boats on the lake.
The free boat value check compares eligible recorded prices and can decline to produce a result. It is not a formal appraisal, condition inspection or guaranteed sale price.
How do commercial interests affect the pages?
Topjib publishes its own service descriptions and comparisons. Accounts, listing submissions, claims and approved listing management are free. Current homepage highlights are unpaid previews. The most-active-seller order follows active listing counts and does not verify a dealer license.
Business directory inclusion, an outbound message or the founder's stated Riviera Marina rental preference does not establish a partnership, endorsement by that business, or an independently tested ranking. Paid placement and rental booking payments are not active Topjib services. Any future paid editorial relationship would need a clear disclosure.
How can you request a correction?
Contact Topjib with the page URL, the statement to correct, the replacement information and a dated source. State whether you are the operator, owner, authorized representative or a reader. Keep passwords, identity documents, private customer details and routing information out of public text.
Signed-in boat reports enter a private review queue. Ownership associations, listing authority and offer-control grants are reviewed separately; sending a correction does not grant access or change a government record. Public pages preserve dated price/status history instead of treating a new observation as proof that the old observation never existed. Material source corrections are handled in the relevant record or publication; a frozen edition's original cutoff remains explicit.

Useful contributions include a dated facility visit, an original permitted photo, an operator-confirmed change or a professional review with a defined scope. Start through the existing contact route; contributing is optional and creates no automatic publication or partnership.
- Identify what you personally observed, where and on what date. Separate it from what someone told you.
- Provide the relevant public page or official source and explain any uncertainty.
- For photos, identify the creator and the permission to publish. A photo cannot by itself verify a berth, condition or ownership.
- Specify the name/role you permit us to credit. Professional credentials and review scope need supporting evidence; private material is not published automatically.
We retain source-based descriptions until qualifying firsthand material exists. We do not invent visits, interviews, testimonials, credentials or partner outcomes to fill a page.
