Where does the data come from?
The sale sample comes from the Austin-area marketplace listings imported into Topjib, with the latest inventory snapshot dated 2026-10-13. Each stored listing ID counts once. The sample includes different boat types and may include project boats or package offers. It is not a complete census or a random sample.
Category statistics use positive, finite asking prices. For an even number of prices, the median is the average of the two middle prices. Price reductions compare each boat’s current recorded ask with its immediately preceding stored observation. Boats without earlier observations do not establish a price trend.
What does this report leave out?
It does not measure completed sales, transaction volume, verified seller motivation, inspection findings or current inventory availability. The separate Travis County public registry is excluded from price statistics. A registry mailing county is not a physical boat location.
Topjib’s free estimates use similar advertised listings when enough comparables exist. The Great Deal and Motivated Seller rules have additional checks; neither badge is a guarantee.
