Compare the right boats
Start with the same boat type, then narrow by model year and length. A wake boat and a similarly sized cruiser serve different buyers. Even two boats with the same model name can differ in engine package, service history, upholstery, electronics and included equipment.
Write down those differences before comparing prices. A trailer, fresh maintenance or a significant repair can affect the decision, but the adjustment needs evidence. Do not assume every accessory adds its original purchase cost to resale value.
Keep asking prices separate from sale prices
Topjib’s estimate uses advertised asking prices in the available listing set. It is a comparison tool rather than an appraisal or a record of completed transactions. A buyer’s eventual offer may depend on inspection results and the choices available at that time.
A range is more useful than false precision. If too few similar listings are available, the estimate should say so. Register for a free account to request an estimate and save the result in your portal.
Turn the estimate into a plan
Decide whether you value a faster sale or more time to find a buyer. Use your documentation and the boat’s current condition to choose a defensible starting point. Revisit the comparison when competing listings change, and retain dated records of asking-price changes so buyers can understand the history.
